Panorama of Lyall Bay turned into mini world.

space: panorama review

I'm not fully happy with my first attempt of a panorama, and find the panorama of a beach is a bit cliche, I think I might go out a take another one of something different. I'm not a hundred percent sure right now what of, maybe the city or just a normal street? With this, I am definitely going to use a tripod swell, which I didn't last time, and it made it a bit hard to match up when putting it together on photoshop. Thaaaaat's a bit. Will post when I have got it done :)

space: initial shoot review

After knowing a bit more about this project, I'm trying to think of different ideas of space, that are maybe not so obvious. I still might just go ahead with the train station idea, and how I perceive time in that space, and the journey of it, but i'm not quite set on it still..

Here's my first shot at a panorama of Lyall Bay.. Taken when the whether wasn't to flash.. soooo not quite the best quality.

In these photos I tried to capture the essence of the train station and ventured in to the theme of time which I am exploring.

space : proposal

For this project, I want to explore a space which gives a sense of going somewhere - a journey. To do this, I have chosen to photograph the Wellington Railway Station. I am interested in how the place is where people congregate to go somewhere. Along with this, I want to try and show the feelings associated with people's different journey's. I think that the station is a symbol for journey's and I want to explore the different paths that are taken from there - the many tracks of the Wellington Railway Station.

To communicate my theme, I will use a large depth of field. I think that this will give a sense of going somewhere and that the journey goes past the picture. I will also shoot the station at night as I think the lighting is softer at night and the darkness gives an idea of mystery and unknown - a feeling associated with journeys. 

Ultimately, from this project I want to explore how the Wellington Railways Station is a means of transportation for people and how they may perceive this space.
