space : artist precedents

andreas GURSKEY

I like his work, these imparticular, as they seem to be more of a pattern than an actual object. In this, I feel, as an observer, that I can interpret what the photo of is myself - it isn't quite obvious. I like this fact that it's not slammed into your face saying "this is what the photo is of". I want to capture this thought provoking idea in my photographs.

niel PARDINGTON

I like these images as they have a huge depth of field and create a sense of direction and journey - something I want to portray in my photos. Perhaps in contrast to Gursky's work, these images have a sterile quality to them, but are a like as they don't have any real subject matter.
